The weekly coloring challenge at annexcafe.phoenix.psp.blackandwhite newsgroup has a provide me with images to color. Some results are great and others are just so so.

The Peacock

This is my very playful attempt of coloring a bw peacock. Once I had the peacock colored I used the image to also create the background to have the colors match.

The Owl

This cute little owl picture was a lot of fun to color. It looked cute in black and white and making it look good in color was easy and just about any color would have worked.

Flower Flag

This image of the flowers in a pot or vase when colored was nice, but it was lacking something. So I create a plaid from the colored picture and placed it behind the image. Finishing the edge with virtual zigzag stitching gave it the look of a hanky or flag. So all that was left to do was to make it into a flag that was fluttering in the breeze by applying a filter to the flat image.
