Red Macaw Parrots

At the hotel there were red macaw parrots that at times made quite a noise. Every evening their perches were empty and I wondered where they had gone. Then when we went to Xcaret park I found the answer. In late afternoon a worker carries them from the hotel back to the park where there are a whole lot more.

The parrots fly around all over the park.

At the park's evening show they use red and green macaws in the performance. They are beautiful birds with long tails.
