Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
This week I came across a healing technique that I find fascinating by its simplicity and non-invasiveness. It is call the Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT for short. The base website is called www.emofree.com. The website also offers a free PDF manual.
Here is a quick summary of the technique from the website:
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an emotional, needle free version of acupuncture that is based on new discoveries regarding the connection between your body's subtle energies, your emotions, and your health. EFT has been reported successful in thousands of cases covering a huge range of emotional, health and performance issues. It often works where nothing else will.
Dr. Mercola's website also offer a 7 part online manual. Here is quick summary from his site of EFT.
EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem - whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc. -- and voice positive affirmations.
This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the "short-circuit" - the emotional block -- from your body's bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body's balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical disease.
After reading the initial information and finding some videos that were also on YouTube, I did some further search for YouTube EFT videos and found a few more website that I really liked.

Thank you Helen for the link. I am a bit overwhelmed in the last few days as EFT website links seem to just pop up like crazy on my browser. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something.

Hi Marlies,
I've been enjoying reading your website and blog. As a hypnotherapist I teach all my clients EFT as it's a wonderful self-help tool.
A really good video which I watch most mornings ad encourage clients to tap along to is "Tap o' the morning" by Brad Yates - a great way to start the day!
